FLETCHERAUCTIONS

How it works

Four steps from your first call to your settlement check. Managed by one team, with one point of contact, the whole way through.

  1. Consult

It starts with a walkthrough. We meet at the property, look at everything you're considering selling and listen to what you need: a deadline, a clean-out, a fair result for the family.

    • The walkthrough is free and carries no obligation.
    • You'll get an honest read on what auction can do, and if it isn't the right fit, we'll say so.
    • You receive a written proposal covering services, commission and timeline.

Timing: Usually scheduled within a week of your call.

  2. Prepare

Once you approve the proposal, our team takes over. We sort, lot, catalog and photograph everything, on site in most cases. You don't clean, price or organize anything.

    • Every lot gets honest descriptions and clear photos.
    • We flag items that deserve special attention or research.
    • Personal papers and family items we find along the way are set aside for you.

Timing: Typically one to two weeks depending on the size of the project.

  3. Market & Sell

Your auction goes live online, promoted to our regional buyer base through email, social channels and the auction platform. Competitive bidding, not guesswork, sets the prices.

    • Auctions typically run one to two weeks online.
    • Bidders can inspect photos and descriptions and ask questions through the platform.
    • Items sell to the region's buyers, not just the neighborhood's.

Timing: One to two weeks of open bidding.

  4. Pickup & Settle

Winning bidders pick up their items on scheduled days that we staff and manage. Then you receive an itemized settlement statement (every lot, every price) along with your payment.

    • You don't need to be present for pickup days.
    • Settlement statements list every lot and its selling price.
    • Payment follows the schedule set in your agreement, typically within a few weeks of pickup.

Timing: Pickup within days of close; settlement shortly after.
